We are currently advancing a professional steel structure aircraft hangar project for a local client in Vanuatu, one of the most important island countries in the South Pacific region. Located in the southwest Pacific Ocean, Vanuatu is surrounded by popular island nations with growing aviation infrastructure demand, including Solomon Islands, Fiji, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tonga.

These Pacific island countries share similar construction environments: humid marine climate, strong sea wind corrosion and strict local aviation building requirements. Traditional concrete hangars take long construction time and cost more, making lightweight and durable steel aircraft hangars the best choice for local airport expansion and private aviation projects.

This Vanuatu steel hangar project adopts a full cooperative design model. The whole design process is completed through joint discussion and revision by three parties: the local project owner, the overseas local designer and our professional steel structure design team. We fully considered Vanuatu’s local wind resistance standard, coastal anti-corrosion requirement, aviation clearance rules and actual airport site conditions, to ensure the hangar design is practical, safe and fully compliant with local Pacific island construction codes.

Different from ordinary factory buildings, steel aircraft hangars have higher requirements for span, structural stability, wind resistance and overall safety. Our design adopts high-strength steel structure system, which features large clear span, no middle column, strong wind and earthquake resistance, and excellent marine corrosion resistance. It perfectly adapts to the harsh coastal weather of Vanuatu and surrounding Pacific island countries.

At present, all construction drawings, structural calculation documents and aviation standard matching files of this steel aircraft hangar have been completed. The whole project is now in the official design review stage, waiting for final confirmation and approval for the next construction preparation work.

With the continuous development of tourism and regional aviation transportation, more steel aviation buildings, aircraft hangars and airport supporting steel structures are needed in Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tonga. Our team provides one-stop customized steel hangar design and manufacturing services for all South Pacific island clients, including professional joint design, standard drawing output, anti-corrosion structure optimization and full-process technical support for local aviation construction projects.
